The Head Teacher’s Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I am delighted, as the Head teacher of Meadowbank Primary School, to warmly welcome you to our Meadowbank family.  I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be leading such a wonderful school.

My vision for the school is to ensure that the needs of your child are met in all areas of school life and that each child is given a wealth of experience and opportunities. This in turn, will guarantee that they leave Meadowbank at the end of Year 6, feeling extremely confident, responsible and competent members of society, ready for their Secondary School journey.

I believe that our school is a happy, caring, respectful and hardworking environment, in which all staff utilise their skills to enable the children in their care to recognise their true potential and talents. As a caring school community, we endeavour to celebrate the successes of our children in all areas of school life. We do this by showing them that we believe in them, respect them and are proud of them.

We offer an exciting approach to education through the delivery of the International Primary Curriculum which fully engages pupils from a young age and instils a love of learning in them. This curriculum has been designed to ensure rigorous learning but also to help teachers make all learning exciting, active and meaningful for children. Learning with the Cornerstones curriculum takes a global approach; helping children to connect their learning to where they are living now as well as looking at the learning from the perspective of other people in other countries.

As key educators in your child’s life, I feel that it is important that you feel you have a voice and that as a school we are approachable and allocate time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts about the school. As such, we ensure that there are regular opportunities in which, parents/guardians can chat to both myself and the senior leadership team to express opinions on what the school is doing well and/or any areas that may need addressing.

You can be assured that as Head teacher, I will strive to create the best education for your child whilst they are members of our school family.

I look forward to watching your child grow in confidence and knowledge during their time at Meadowbank and will thank you in advance for the support I know you will give all members of our school community, in the years to come.

Please feel free to contact me at any time. To make an appointment, please speak to the Office staff.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs N Hill
